Training

We provide 1 on 1 training to anyone who wants to learn.

Menu navigation (3 to 5 hours)

DVW / HDW series cameras	CANON 5DMK II
PDW series	PMW series
HVR series

Course includes what the functions are for and how to utilise them for maximum performance.

Creating looks (3 hours max)

Setting up LOOKS on the above cameras. This includes manipulating the GAMMA/MATRIX/KNEE for desired affect. We dont recommend going beyond certain points as its not recoverable in post grading. But if you have a low budget and dont have the means for post grading.we can help. We also set up cameras for a wider range in post grading.

Operational training ( 2 to 4 ours)

This includes using the above cameras, it a basic course in physical navigation.
From the ON/OFF button to setting up preferences on assignable switches.
The importance of timecode set-up and exposure for maximum dynamic range.

Waveform monitor (1 to 2 Hours)

This is for the DIT or DOP. Using the waveform/vector scope as a digital and HD.
Light meter. Colour balance and exposure in the main part. This will help in matching cameras in a multicam shoot.

DATA wrangler (1 to 2 hours max)

Some of the new generation cameras record to solid state media. For this reason
There have been many requests on how to back-up the data on location.
We can provide this training. CF (compact flash) P2 (Panasonic) and SXS (Sony)

The time of the above courses depend on the individual. If you have a lot of experience
The course is faster. This is not a classroom set-up and has no forced agenda. If you want to link things together from your experience over a general chat we can do that to.
